Everything starts when you bring your child in for her or his first visit to the dentist. In accordance with the American Academy of Pediatric Dentistry, a kid’s first checkup should happen by age one. Surprised? Despite the fact that there may just be a few baby teeth observable at that age, there are lots of things to begin working on — including the growth of healthful habits that can make future visits to the dentist much more pleasurable.
The checkup begins after your child has been seated and is comfortable. A mild assessment of your child’s mouth will be performed, and then we will work to see if we can detect any early signs of dental problems – frequent visits can reduce the risks of tooth decay in your children. Recommendations on brushing and cleaning efficiently will be reviewed and a follow up visit will be scheduled as required.
