WHAT TO EXPECT:
The Process of Your Cleaning Visit —
BEFORE YOUR VISIT:
Getting to know you & your health.
Contact us or use our online booking tool to schedule your appointment. Once scheduled, kindly fill out our new patient forms and email us any previous dental x-rays and images before your appointment.
The more we know about your health history, lifestyle, genetics, and symptoms, the more we understand you and the best dental care plan for you.
DURING YOUR VISIT:
Comprehensive exam.
We begin with a comprehensive examination of teeth and gums to create a customized treatment plan for your unique oral needs. Your examination will include the following:
intraoral imaging
minimal radiation digital x-rays
oral cancer screening
periodontal probing
wellness scan
We then use both hand instruments and an ultrasonic scaler to gently break up plaque and tartar that built up below the gum line.
AFTER YOUR VISIT:
Personalized health plan.
You will receive your tailored dental plan, which includes recommendations on treatment plans, flossing, brushing, and more.
Our team will tell you what you need to know about home care between visits so that future cleanings will be effortless and easy.
TIPS FROM OUR HYGIENIST:
How to keep your oral health care healthy at home.
BRUSH 2X A DAY
Brush your teeth at least two times a day for two minutes. We recommend using our favorite Philips Sonic electric toothbrush which removes 25% more plaque!
FLOSS 2X A DAY
No matter how good you are with brushing, dental floss is the only way to remove plaque between your teeth and keep tartar out. We recommend using our favorite CocoFloss!
NUTRITION
Keep your teeth strong and healthy by staying away from food/drinks that can by harmful to your tooth's enamel like sticky and sugary sweets or carbonated soft drinks.
DENTAL VISITS
We recommend having a dental cleaning every six months. However, depending on your oral health needs, we may recommend you visit us every three months.
