Implants
What are dental implants?
Dental implants are designed to act as artificial tooth roots and secure and stabilize dentures to ensure they remain in place. Dental implants are usually made of titanium and fused to your jawbone during a dental procedure. The goal is to provide a sturdy base for your replacement teeth. Dental implants are available in various shapes and sizes. Your dentures are sturdy and carefully placed on top of the implants to replace a few missing teeth or an entire set of teeth. Dr. Tracz provides implant overdentures and places and restores dental implants.

FAQs
-
Dr. Tracz administers anesthesia and makes an incision in your gums before drilling small holes in your jawbone and placing titanium implants in the holes.
Dr. Tracz stitches your gums closed to give your new implants time to fuse with your jaw. This fusion process is called osseointegration. For your implants to successfully fuse to your jawbone, it usually takes around three to six months once your implants are placed. You can wear a temporary denture in the interim.
After the healing and osseointegration process is complete, you return to the office where Dr. Tracz secures a supporting element called an abutment to the top of each element before attaching your prosthesis to the abutments.
