Invisalign
What is Invisalign?
Invisalign is an innovative new way to straighten teeth. Using a series of advanced clear aligners, Invisalign is designed to straighten your teeth with more predictability and comfort. Unlike traditional teeth-straightening treatments like braces, you can easily remove the aligners for teeth cleaning and eating, making it easier to brush and floss as normal. The best part? Your lifestyle is not interrupted, meaning you can still enjoy the activities you love and all the foods you can not live without.
The Connection Between Your Health & Misaligned Teeth —
Gum Disease
Misaligned teeth can make it hard to remove plaque and bacteria from your gums and teeth. This can lead to inflamed gums, soft tissue damage, pockets between the teeth and receding gums.
Tooth Loss
Misaligned teeth can slowly wear away the protective enamel, resulting in problems like cavities. Excess strain on the jaw, jaw muscles, and the teeth themselves can result in chipped or fractured teeth.
Bone Loss
Misaligned teeth can affect the ability of your teeth to grind and chew properly. In these situations, lack of opposing force limits the natural stimulation of the jaw leading to bone loss.
Health Risks
Problems that start in your mouth can spread to other parts of your body and put you at a higher risk for heart disease, lung disease, stroke, and complications relating to diabetes and pregnancy.
